These calculators give solid ballpark estimates — they're not a substitute for a proper water test. Always follow the directions on the product label, add chemicals to water one at a time, and never mix chemicals together. Chlorine products and acid are serious stuff; if you're not sure, leave it to us.
Pool Volume Calculator
Almost every dose starts with one number: how many gallons your pool holds. Measure in feet and we'll do the rest.
Chlorine Dose Calculator
In a St. George summer, the sun strips chlorine out of your water daily. Enter your pool size and test readings to see how much to add to hit your target.
Heads-up: your ideal target depends on your stabilizer (CYA) level — higher CYA needs higher chlorine to do the same job. A 3–4 ppm target suits many pools, but a proper water test tells the real story. If the water's already green, dosing won't cut it — that's a cleanup job.
Salt Top-Up Calculator
Salt water generator reading low? Here's how many pounds of pool salt it takes to get back in range.
Use pool-grade salt (99%+ pure), pour it around the shallow end with the pump running, and brush it around — it can take a day to fully dissolve and read accurately. Reading high instead? You can only lower salt by partially draining and refilling. Salt cell crusted with calcium? That's our salt cell cleaning ($55–$75).
Pump Runtime Calculator
Your pump should push the entire pool through the filter at least once a day — more in summer. See how many hours that takes at your flow rate.
Variable-speed pump? Running longer at low RPM filters the same water for a fraction of the electricity — often the cheapest upgrade in pool ownership. Pump making noise, losing prime, or short on flow no matter what? That's a repair visit.
